People bring the Museum to life
Auckland War Memorial Museum is known for its rare and wonderful taonga, which are protected, interpreted and promoted by a team of rare and wonderful people.
In all, we have around 280 volunteers and the equivalent of 200 fulltime paid gallery assistants, tradespeople, curators, administrators, marketers, educators, experts and managers. While they each have a specific role within the Museum, all share a passion for bringing history to life.
Opportunities to work at Auckland Museum arise regularly. If you can't find what you're looking for today, you can register to receive alerts about relevant vacancies as they occur.
